Mesa Pizza coming to Uptown this fall

Mesa Pizza is opening a third location in Uptown, in the former home of the Ivy clothing shop at 1440 W. Lake Street, reports the Southwest Journal. The business recently leased the space and hopes to have the pizzeria open by October. 
The popular Dinkytown shop expands to Uptown.
Mesa, a former City Pages Best Pizza winner, has developed quite a following from U of M students at its original Dinkytown location due to post bar-close hours and funky flavor combinations (the second Mesa is in Iowa City near the U of Iowa campus).
So long as the East Isles neighborhood association and city allow it, Mesa will be open until 3 a.m. six days a week, and midnight until Sundays, just like its other locations.
