Win tickets to ABR with Haiku promoting Minnesota beer
Autumn Brew Review
The year's best beer fest, hands down
Write poems, win tickets.

If you don't already have tickets to the Autumn Brew Review on September 17, the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild wants to give you a pair. Show off your poetic prowess by penning a beery haiku and you can win tickets to the nearly sold-out morning session. The rules are simple and the rewards are great.

The Guild wants beer fans to write and submit "Beer-Ku" poems that promote Minnesota craft beer. They will select two of the submitted poems and reward the poets with a pair of tickets to Session 1 of Autumn Brew Review, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on September 17 and features a complimentary bloody Mary bar to help get your morning started. Beer-Ku submissions can be emailed to and must be received by noon CST on Friday, September 16.

Haiku is a Japanese poetry form of three lines with syllable limits of 5-7-5 (five syllables each for the first and last lines, and seven syllables in the second line). To qualify for the contest your haiku has to include either the name of a MN Craft Brewer's Guild member, a beer made by a Guild member, or a mention of the beer in the state.
