Yes, it's only on Thursday nights from 7 to 11 p.m., but it's a unique opportunity to create your own vodka martini from a variety of sweet, juicy, Barbie-festooned treats. So in honor of having it your way, the Hot Dish made a visit to Uptown Cafeteria's Candy Bartini, where the signs says to "make it with me."

This drink of the week depends on you--your ingenuity, your nuanced tastes, and frankly your interest in floating gummy worms and other candies in your cute, cute drink. But we can't hate on the Candy Bartini, because it's actually kind of fun. Here's how it works:

The mini me of shakers

You plunk down your eight bucks and get a mini shaker full of ice and either Sobieski Cytron, Karmel, Vanilla, Raspberry or Orange. Then head over to the candy-ful table set up with instructions and goodies. The first stop is a slew of squeeze bottles that contain everything from caramel to blood orange juice to good old fashioned cream. Add what you like to the vodka and move on to the Rim Me and Shake Me area. Cute martini glasses await, asking for you to coat their edges with simple sugar or graham crackers or something more cosmic, like Tang or Pixy Stix with agave and/or chocolate sauce acting as your edible glue.

From there, a short sidle brings you to the finishing touches, which include pineapple, blueberries, gummy worms, candy bars, Nerds, and more. If you're game, throw those either in your shaker or your glass and get to shaking. Once it's sufficiently chilly, pour your self-made concoction into your festive goblet and give it a whirl. Sweet? Likely. Full of Starbursts? Could be.

Created by Samantha Cohen, the bar's sales and event manager, the Candy Bartini started on August 25 and runs only on Thursday nights. So if you love a Sex and the City-style drink that you can personalize to your own tastes, this is the drink for you.
