Acme's Comedy Kitchen will feature 3 comedian-inspired dishes

What's so funny about this meal? Find out next week at Acme's 20th anniversary celebration

​There's nothing funny about badly prepared food, but luckily Acme Comedy Company and Sticks Restaurant have teamed up with award-winning chef Vincent Francoual of Vincent A Restaurant to re-create comedian travel food fare as part of a fundraiser event called Comedy Kitchen.

"What we did was, we had three comedians--Mary Mack, Chad Daniels, and C. Willi Myles--and they showed [our chef] how they make their own on-the-road meals in a long-term-stay hotel, like most comedians have to stay at. Vincent retweaked the recipe and made it edible and delicious and taught them how to cook their recipe, but in a much better way," says Acme manager Sarah Remus.

Mary Mack's Chicken Asian Noodles

​The comedian-inspired dishes will be sold during Acme Comedy Club's 20-year anniversary week celebration November 1 through 5. Proceeds (20%) from each dish will be donated to Fraser, a provider of autism services in Minnesota. The comedian whose dish sells the most will have a donation made to the local charity in his or her name.

Mary Mack's dish, Chicken Asian Noodles, is described as "red pepper-and-soy- marinated chicken and Asian rice noodles tossed with broccoli, leeks, garlic, tomato, spinach, cilantro, and fresh-squeezed lime, topped with peanuts, sprouts, and cilantro."

Chad Daniels's Seasoned Pork Loin

​Chad Daniels's dish is a seasoned pork loin "glazed with Marsala and served on a bed of sauteed red potatoes, baby turnips, butternut squash, pears, garlic, onion, and bacon."

And C Willi Myles's inspired dish is a "multigrain penne paste served with turkey Italian sausage, salted pork, mascarpone cheese, zucchini, onion, eggplant, and garlic in a white wine tomato sauce; topped with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil."
