Say goodbye to fall leaves--and food trucks
The days are getting shorter, signaling the time for hunkering down, dressing in warm woolens, simmering hearty soups on the stove, and throwing another log on the fire. It is also time to catch up with Hot Dish's choicest stories.

~November is Juicy Lucy month at the 5-8 Club, so go and get you one.

~Nothing like a cellar full of wine to make winter even more cozy. Our friends at Alexis Bailly Vineyard have several events and sales to help you get stocked up.

~Some fans of Surly Darkness have bunched panties over local pricing. Price gouging or supply-and-demand?

~We know cupcakes (like their friend bacon) are a bit overexposed, but that doesn't make them any less delicious. Check out this new cupcakery in South St. Paul.

~ And to everything there is a season; we must now say goodbye to the food trucks as they begin to close their little order windows for the season.

Don't forget to turn your clocks back, folks. And with the bittersweet feeling of seeing the last leaves of fall floating to the ground, we leave you with this song. See you next week.
