Chef's Night Off: Cook with the area's top chefs

Learn from the masters at Kitchen in the Market

​Kitchen in the Market, the commercial kitchen and class space, is giving you a chance to cook alongside some of the Twin Cities' best-known chefs. The market has announced it is pairing with some of the area's top chefs and local food celebrities for a series of limited-attendance classes that will benefit an area charity.

Only a few of the chefs and "celebrity" names have been revealed, and we've got them.

The first class will be held December 12 and will feature chef Erick Harcey of the chef-driven gastropub Victory 44. Harcey will pen a menu the day of the class highlighting the seasonal ingredients available at Midtown Global Market (where the Kitchen is located).

Scheduled to appear are chef Scott Pampuch (just back from filming season 2 of In Search of Food), food editors Mecca Bos and Stephanie March, Jason DeRusha of WCCO, and Stephanie Meyer, food blogger and Food & Wine photographer, with more to be announced.

All profits from these classes will be donated to Renewing the Countryside, a local nonprofit that helps connect and strengthen rural communities, including farmers, artists, entrepreneurs, educators, and activists.

Other class dates will be January 23 and February 13.
