Got a hankering for holiday appetizers, but tired of veggies and dip or chips and salsa? This may be the cooking class for you.

Paulette Mitchell, author of the 15-Minute Gourmet (and several other cookbooks), will lead a demonstration class featuring eight holiday appetizers from around the world on Tuesday, December 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Cooks of Crocus Hill's Edina location.

What's on the menu? Lebne with Za'atar (a Middle Eastern herbed yogurt cheese), pesto palmiers (a cheese-and-pesto puff pastry), spiced mixed nuts, Caesar crostini, roasted veggie antipasto, stuffed cheese puffs, chutney and hot chili tortilla canapés, and five-spiced shrimp in endive leaves.

Learn to prepare these festive dishes in advance, so you can mingle with your guests (and enjoy the food yourself) during your next holiday party.

The class costs $65, and you can sign up on the Cooks of Crocus Hill website, in person (at 3925 West 50th Street in Edina), or by phone at 952.285.1903.
