Food truck fix: Kitchen in the Market brings street eats inside for winter
The air is turning chilly, which means street diner numbers are dwindling and the herd of food trucks is thinning. ![]()
Food trucks are pulling in and serving up at Midtown Global Market
Luckily, the ladies at Kitchen in the Market understand the attachment people have to their favorite street eats. So the owners of the commercial kitchen and retail space in Midtown Global Market have announced they will be hosting "Food Truck Fix," a monthly opportunity to taste the foods you'll be missing.
One Sunday each month, two food truck vendors will roll into the Kitchen in the Market and serve up some of their classic dishes. The first event will be December 4 featuring Smack Shack and its famous lobster rolls and Fox Falafel with the best falafel (and hummus and pickled vegetables) in the city.
Upcoming dates are as follows:
January 29: YumMi Truck and Fork in the Road
February 26: Gastro Truck and Saucy Burt's
March 25: Gai Gai Thai and House of Hunger
April 29: TBD
