Seward Co-op: Try the Holiday Key Lime Pie
If you're anything like me, you're all pecan pied and apple pied out after Thanksgiving. But there's something about the delectable combination of key limes, condensed milk, and whipped cream that is irresistible. Here's why Seward Co-op's version is a good choice.
Yael Grauer Seward Co-op's Holiday Key Lime Pie is pretty much irresistible.
First, you can buy it by the slice: $3.49 for just four ounces. Individual servings make it hard to overdo. (Full pies are also available.)
Second, the recipe is perfect. From the graham crackers to the lime juice to the lime zest sprinkled on top of filling that features a delightful combination of dairy (butter, sweetened condensed milk, and cream make the perfect creamy counterpart to the tartness), this pie hits the spot.
Third, nothing weird is in it. Sugar, egg yolks, powdered sugar, sea salt, and vanilla extract are the only other ingredients I haven't yet mentioned.
And finally, it's a holiday offering, meaning it will only be offered at the Seward Co-op deli for a limited time.
