Seward Co-op offers free food samples at holiday warm-up event Saturday afternoon

Turkeys from Ferndale Farms will be available for pre-order.

Seward Co-op will be hosting a Holiday Warm-Up on November 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., where you'll be able to get a small taste of everything from free-range turkey from Ferndale Farms to holiday desserts from the Co-ops' own deli.

Cheese, local beef, smoked fish, and various beverages will also be sampled. The Co-op will provide seasonal recipes and a holiday shopping guide.

The event features live music and a raffle for $25, $50, and $100 gift certificates.

The Co-op will be taking advance orders for catering items (including artisan cheese platters, entrees, various cured meats and salamis, and Thanksgiving side dishes such as gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and green bean casserole). They will also be pre-selling frozen turkeys from Ferndale Farms in Cannon Falls.
