Sun Street Breads: Now serving dinner
Kingfield neighborhood darling Sun Street Breads announced that it will now be adding extra hours and a new chef in order to serve their patrons dinner. ![]()
Dinner will be served starting November 10
The bakery opened earlier this year to rave reviews and fast-forming lines. The delicious bread is only one draw. Cookies the size of your face, heirloom-recipe-style pastries, savory sandwiches, and fantastic French fries have helped Sun Street quickly establish a neighborhood reputation. Until now, the stiffest drink a patron could order was a healthy jolt from Dogwood coffee. Not so anymore.
Beginning November 10 at 5 p.m., dinner service will begin. Sun Street brought in Annette Colon as the dinner chef. Colon was most recently seen in the kitchen at Lucia's in Uptown. So far the shop has been mum on exact menu details, but Solveig Tofte teases that Colon will be preparing "classics, the Sun Street way." We're guessing that's a good thing. In addition to her creations they will also be offering some of the greatest hits off the lunch menu as well.
Alongside dinner there will also be beer and wine available. Fulton's Sweet Child of Vine will be on tap. Welcome to your newest neighborhood cafe.
