CiCi's Pizza closes its doors in Eagan

You'll have to go elsewhere for five dollar pizza.
CiCi's Pizza, the almost suspiciously inexpensive buffet restaurant, unceremoniously closed the doors at its Eagan store this weekend. The Eagan Patch reports there were hand-written signs reading "permanently closed" posted to CiCi's front door, to the surprise of the Friday lunch crowd.

CiCi's had a handful of Twin Cities locations, but with the closing of the Plymouth store, and a disconnected phone number at the Robert Street store in St. Paul, it looks as though Rochester is the only place in Minnesota where you can still get unlimited slices of their infamous macaroni-and-cheese pizza.

Walked by the Eagan location yesterday when eating at Old Chicago. There is a court summons posted on the door stating that the property was "suddenly abandoned" and that the lease is $38,000+ in arrears. Sounds like a shady ownership group!

Maybe all the employees quit, the owner was a real jerk.

I drove by the Robert Street Location on Sunday.  There is a For Sale sign on the property so I can confirm for you that it is indeed closed.

Ci-ci-ci you later..... went once, it wasn't that good... it doesn't matter how cheap food is if it's not appealing.  Also, I'm sure the cost of distribution and materials increased far faster than their prices could.

Old World Pizza in Inver Grove Heights still has a wonderful pizza buffet that tops CiCis any day.
