|Chef Shack gets more national attention|
Many of us are well aware that we can get amazing, global cuisine handed directly to us from the windows of our local food trucks, but now the rest of the nation is sitting up and taking notice. Chef Shack, already named one of Bon Appetit's Top 10 Lunches at Farmers Markets and one of Saveur's 12 Memorable Market Meals of 2010, can add another feather to its well-decorated cap.
U.S. News and World Report
singled out Chef Shack as one the food trucks slinging the "funkiest cuisine" in America. If you've never had the pleasure, Chef Shack serves up Indian spiced doughnuts, bacon beer brats, and tomato-watermelon gazpacho, among other surprising menu items, all made from organic ingredients by chefs Carrie Summer and Lisa Carlson.
Milwaukee's famed Streetza Pizza
food truck, with its wacky combinations like S'mores, crab legs with fresh corn, and even State Fair corn dog pizza, also made the list. Streetza also makes a pizza smothered in chili, cheese, and onions. Sounds like it might be worth a summer road trip.
