Minnesota-based food company Michael Foods is recalling over a million hard-cooked eggs in brine that may be contaminated with listeria, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The eggs, which were sold to manufacturers and food distributors, do not have any reports of illness connected to them.  However, lab testing indicated that some of the eggs may have been contaminated. The source of contamination may have been a specific repair project that took place in the packaging room in Michael Foods' Wakefield, Nebraska, facility.

Eggs are being recalled from 34 states, including Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Michael Foods sold eggs under the brand names Columbia Valley Farms, GFS, Glenview Farms, Papetti's, Silverbrook, and Wholesome Farms.
