$2.50 pints at Town Hall on Wednesday
There's an extra day this month to cram in some more eating, so we recommend a few charitable dining enterprises or the well-timed "leap beer" at Town Hall on Wednesday to make the most of it.

Don't wait for takeout to get your Thai fix. Hit up the Thai Cooking with Gai Gai Thai: Ba Mee Hang class at the Linden Hills Co-op tonight to find out how to DIY. Chef Kris Petcharawises will teach noodle lovers about the Chinese noodle influences on Thai cuisine, highlighted by ba mee hang, a popular street-food egg noodle dish. He'll also show students how to prepare pad se ew and pad Thai using rice noodles. The class runs from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. and costs $18 for members, $20 for nonmembers. To sign up visit the customer service desk or call 612.922.1159.

February's extra day is cause for celebration at Town Hall, which is declaring it Leap Beer and offering all Town Hall pints for just $2.50 all day long. It only happens once every four years, so haul yourself to either location to take advantage.

We're always fans of eating for a good cause, and the Share Our Strength fundraiser fits the bill. James Beard Award-winning pastry chef Michelle Gayer from Salty Tart and mixologist Johnny Michaels from La Belle Vie are among the names hosting an evening filled with all-you-can-eat desserts from the Twin Cities' best pastry chefs; an open bar with specialty cocktails from top mixologists; a prize-laden raffle; and of course, dancing. Share our Strength raises awareness and funds for childhood hunger, all while you nosh on sweet treats. It all takes place at the Fine Line Music Cafe from 8 to 11 p.m., and your $60 ticket gets you unlimited desserts and drinks. To buy tickets visit www.shareourstrength.org/minneapolis.

Couldn't make it to the aforementioned Share Our Strength fundraiser on Thursday? Then improve your karma at the 17th annual Chefs Brigade Dinner. Each year We Can Ride, a nonprofit therapeutic horseback riding and carriage driving program that serves children and adults living with disabilities, hosts the only Chefs' Brigade Dinner in the state of Minnesota. During the dinner, chef John T. Riley directs a volunteer staff of more than 40 local chefs to prepare a multi-course feast starting at 4:30 p.m. at Edinburgh USA in Brooklyn Park. Tickets for the dinner, which also includes silent and live auctions, are $125 per person. Visit www.wecanride.org/chefs for more information.
