| Three pastry chefs, music, and a rare beer on April 20 |
If you have a sweet tooth, mark your calendars for Friday, April 20.
Gastro Non Grata, the collective "chef-driven labor of love" headed by organizers Craig Drehmel and Jeff Mitchell has announced its next event, and it features a killer lineup of pastry talent.
So who will be furnishing the sweet treats that evening?
Three dessert courses will be coming from three celebrated dessert geniuses: recent James Beard Award nominee and duchess of hand pies Michelle Gayer from
The Salty Tart, Dustan Pinlac of
Cafe Levain, and Christian Aldrich from
Haute Dish.
If dessert isn't enough to lure you out on a Friday night, GNG is also pairing each sweet course with a different beer from Lagunitas Brewery. Rumor has it that one of those beers will be a hard-to-find double IPA called Waldo's Ale. There's even a Dead Meat Door Prize with proteins provided by the Linden Hills-based
Clancey's Meat and Fish.
