|This bar is about to get a little fuller.|
If you're already a fan of their happy hour specials, fish tacos, and garlic confit burger, you'll be pleased to learn that Republic at Seven Corners
plans to add another 25 taps to its already wide selection of draft beers by May.
The bar also announced that one of its new lines will include a beer engine so it can serve cask-conditioned beers, possibly the ones brewed by Summit and Lift Bridge breweries. Republic's across-the-street neighbor, Town Hall Brewery
, typically has two cask-conditioned beers on tap at any given time, and the Happy Gnome
in St. Paul is well-known as a cask beer destination and host of the annual Firkin Fest.
Republic's co-owner Matty O'Reilly, who is also the bar's beer buyer, says they'll keep Surly Furious, Fulton Sweet Child of Vine, and Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout on tap year-round, but they plan to rotate in more local and seasonal beers, as well as a few more from Belgium and Germany.
The addition of the 25 taps will bring Republic's draft selection to 57, just in time for summer. One line will be reserved for the featured Beer of the Day, which will cost $3 all day, every day.
