Risotto closing tomorrow

Ciao Risotto
It's a sad part of the industry that just as new restaurants pop up, other neighborhoods must say goodbye to treasured eateries. Tomorrow, Saturday, April 21, will be the last day of service for Risotto in its Lyn-Lake location.

Chef-owner Gabriele Lo Pinto wrote that despite their positive reviews, they had made the difficult decision to close. "We are quite saddened about the closing, but recognize we have been extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve our treasured customers a little piece of Italy for the past three years."

Risotto will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. today and tomorrow, then will close for the final time.

That location is bad and there were two failed attempts before him.  I really think an Italian restaurant needs to come back to North Loop or the Mill District.

Nice place, I remember early on they actually didn't have many risotto options for lunch. I always thought that location wasn't very good and tiny. I hope he gets a chance to try starting a new restaurant.

The food was decent, but overpriced.  The one time I was there, I was the ONLY person there.  Also, that particular property seems to be doomed.

There aren't any food trucks serving risotto.  If their were, I'd buy it.
