A national roving blogger conference has selected Minneapolis for its next meeting. The conference, called TECHmunch, Includes a panel of such local food writing celebrities like Rachel Hutton, Jason DeRusha, Zoe Francois, Andrew Zimmern, and more.
|Andrew Zimmern spills his secrets to success|
With a meal from food trucks and a reception (and beer) at Fulton brewery, the day looks to be packed with delicious content. The best news is that there are still a few tickets left.
The conference is geared toward anyone would does or would like to blog about food and will be held Saturday at 514 Studios. The day will kick off with a fireside chat led by DeRusha with local chef turned media magnate Andrew Zimmern.
Other discussions will focus on how bloggers can learn about how to monetize their pages, develop content, and get in front of editors (I'll be participating in that last conversation.)
We contacted TechMunch creator Babette Pepaj to find out what else attendees can expect.
What makes the Twin Cities area a good match for the TECHmunch model?
TECHmunch is a traveling conference, and we do everything we can to address the unique needs and opportunites most important to bloggers in each city we visit. Minnesota has a passionate community of food bloggers, and they should haven't to travel far and spend a fortune to attend a conference all their own.
What about the event has you most excited?
The best part of TECHmunch is meeting local food bloggers and helping them get the ingredients they need to succeed. It's all about learning networking and having fun.
Is this event exclusive to people who blog about food?
While the discussion will be focused on food blogging, most of the hands-on tools and tactics attendees will learn apply to just about any type of online publishing. Topics include creating and syndicating great content, monetization, working with brands, and SEO. TECHmunch is for bloggers at every level -- from hobbyists to media conglomerates and everything in between.
