Devil's Advocate is expanding its menu and dining space

When Devil's Advocate opened this summer, it focused on a single food item and relegated service to its sleek and cozy bar area. As colder temps set in and force more Nicollet Mall area diners indoors, Devil's Advocate owner Erik Forsberg plans to diversify his meatball-centered menu and open up more space in the back of the restaurant.

Here are the details on what will be added and when:

The sliders and sides will stick around, and Forsberg's crew has added combo plates (the Fiesta plate has Mexican-spiced meatballs, avocado, and a deconstructed taco-type salad) and more happy hour food, but they are now adding a few more substantial (yet still affordable) options for dinner.

This month Devil's Advocate will begin offering a steak frites dinner, served Wednesday through Saturday nights in the back dining room. The set meal will include salad, steak, and French fries for $20. On Sundays the restaurant will start serving family-style suppers portioned out for two or more people, featuring a weekly rotating menu of familiar favorites.

Throughout fall, the back dining room will still occasionally be reserved for special events like beer dinners sponsored by local breweries and whiskey dinners. The restaurant hosted a successful one with pairings from High West Whiskey last month.
