|One of Bangkok Thai's many delicious spicy dishes|
It's just going to be for a short time, and they aren't going very far, but Bangkok Thai Deli, the top-notch restaurant tucked away in the back of an Asian supermarket, is shutting down and moving this week.
Here are the details on your last chance to pick up some pad kee mow, boat noodles, or pa-nang curry before they shut down and change locations:
So where are they headed? Some speculated that light rail construction might be to blame, but actually Bangkok Thai will not only be staying in the same neighborhood, it will still be on the same block. The new location will be across the street at the old Burger King on University Avenue West near Virginia Street, reports Minnesota Monthly
The deli will be serving its last meal on Tuesday, October 30, so you still have a day to get your final fix before it closes for about a month. The move and remodel are expected to go until the end of November, but the result will be more seating, more parking, and maybe even some new dishes on the menu for the deli's loyal patrons.
In the meantime, you can always head to Eat Street and visit Bangkok's offshoot operation, Krungthep Thai. It has many of the same killer curries, classic noodle dishes, and deep-fried appetizers as Bangkok Deli.
