|Get in on the beer, bourbon, and brats this weekend at Butcher and the Boar|
This weekend's forecast calls for chilly temps, but that shouldn't deter any die-hard sausage fan from attending a festival that's bold enough to call itself "Boarfest."
The inaugural event takes place this Sunday, October 7, in the beer garden outside Butcher and the Boar, providing the perfect opportunity to make use of their newly covered (and heated!) patio area.
But what kind of meats can you expect to eat? Here's more details on the really important stuff:
The event will feature Oktoberfest-style beers, selections from Butcher and the Boar's extensive collection of bourbon, and chef Jack Riebel himself will be manning the grill and serving up boar brats, sausages, and oysters.
Live bands are also slated to perform throughout the day, including Tim Mahoney, City on the Make, Drew Peterson, Jack Brass Band, and Luke Warm and the Cool Hands.
Admission is free, but you have to be 21 or over to get in. The festivities start at noon and will wind down around 10 p.m.
