Fast casual sushi coming to downtown

Chocolate is out, raw fish is in.

The shuttered Godiva store on the second floor of the IDS Crystal Court is going to reopen in January with an entirely new concept. Sushi Avenue Inc., the parent company of Masu Sushi and Robata, has confirmed it will be moving into the space and opening a new fast-casual sushi restaurant called One, Two, Three Sushi, reports the Downtown Journal.

Here's more details on their plans and their prices.

The plan is for this to be the first of several One, Two, Three Sushi stores. A representative from Sushi Avenue explains that while the restaurant will not be an extension of Masu or associated with it in any way (except for the ownership and type of cuisine), they will still be offering made-to-order sushi, noodle dishes, and filled steamed buns. In keeping with the fast-casual concept, One, Two, Three's menu items will all fall in the $5 to $10 range.

An exact date has yet to be announced, but the plan is for early 2013. One, Two, Three joins Potbelly, Mission, and Cosi on the list of Crystal Court dining options.

I call fail. Sushi has been done way too much, its already fast casual all over the place. Besides, to make great sushi takes time and skill. Its time for newer concepts to open. Noodle bar anyone? Korean steak house perhaps?

Raw fish does the body good, because it can keeps the full nutrition of the fish. I love salmon. If I have chance, I will go to the restaurants which appear on this list.
