A popular and critical favorite, Eat Street's excellent Rainbow Chinese is getting ready to celebrate 25 years in business, and the festivities kick off this weekend.
This Saturday and Sunday, chef Tammy Wong will be throwing a special anniversary brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and an evening chef's tasting with new $2.50 small plates starting at 5 p.m.

Tammy's new brunch will feature congee (rice porridge with sweet pickled mustard greens, salted egg, and spiced peanuts); bacon and egg fried rice; Chinese omelet with carrots, onions, radish, peapods, and bean sprouts; watercress salad with pineapple, orange, and ginger-mint dressing; hearty and healthy oatmeal with mung beans, quinoa, dried longan berries, and walnuts; and a pulled chicken sandwich on a steamed bun with pickled slaw, among other unique items.
