|A sneak peek at Dangerous Man Brewing's interior|
In early December we reported on the progress northeast Minneapolis microbrewery Dangerous Man was making toward opening its facilities, including a taproom, to the eager public. The brewery's owners, husband and wife duo Rob Miller and Sarah Bonvallet, have spent the last few weeks putting the final touches on their project, including accepting donations of sturdy wood chairs (in exchange for Dangerous Man-branded pint glasses) from area residents to complete the seating area in the taproom.
After years of preparation, planning, and building, Dangerous Man has an opening date for its destination microbrewery and taproom, the first to open in the Twin Cities in 2013.See also:
The brewery, at 1300 Second St. NE, will open its doors on Friday, January 25. "It has been a long journey to our opening, but the community has been supportive of us every step of the way," says Miller. "I can't wait to get the doors open and get some beers pouring."
And that's something beer lovers have been anxiously awaiting too, especially since Dangerous Man's beer, handmade sodas, and other merchandise will only be available at the tap house brewery. Per the company's website: "We will not be selling our beer at local bars or restaurants, or mass-producing cans and bottles. To have a taste of Dangerous Man beer you will have to come visit us."
In a similar low-maintenance, limited distribution-type vein, customers are encouraged to bring their own food to the taproom, as the brewery currently does not have plans for onsite food service. Some nearby restaurants that have easy options for casual carry-out are:
Initially the brewery will only be open from 3 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, but look for those days and hours to extend due to popular demand.
