|New location opens next month|
After officially closing its Minnetonka location on December 29, Origami Sushi reassured fish fans that it still plans to increase its presence. Its Uptown location at the ground floor of the new MoZaic building on Lagoon Avenue is expected to open in early February, reports the Southwest Journal.
When the company first announced the opening in July, it estimated an opening date of December 2012, which has been pushed up to a still-vague but optimistic "early February."
Just like its original downtown location, Origami Uptown will feature sushi, sashimi, dumplings, and many other signature dishes, as well as a full bar serving cocktails, sake, beer, and wine. One key difference at the new Origami is that it has the potential for outdoor seating come spring.
With its storefront right next to Bar Louie, in a building behind the Lagoon Cinema and in the midst of several condos and residential spaces, this new location of Origami is sure to serve the area well, even if it is a fairly sushi-saturated neighborhood.
