| Suburban pastry options are slimmer |
The lights went out at both the Eagan and Mall of America locations at Pardon My French. Their Facebook page stated, "Due to circumstances that are outside of our reach, we are closing and we were just notified of the situation less than 48 hrs ago."

he Facebook page contains an outpouring of emotion over the closing, with fans lamenting the loss of a great gathering place for the community. We will miss their passion-fruit cake, one of our favorite dishes of 2010. Or, as Amity Kalenze Zane put in best with her comment, "Pardon my French but this #$&@ sucks."
Their website has been taken down and calls were not returned.
Those who loved and lost hold out hope that there will be another incarnation of the beloved bakery. We can only hope. C'est la vie.
