Let's call it the weekend. Time for brews and food!

The marriage of food trucks and local breweries is a logical one. Both businesses have boomed in recent years, and great food always tastes better with a perfectly crafted brew. We're confident these two will live happily ever after. For all those who are missing the mobile food vendors in these frigid temperatures, for those looking to get out and taste some stunning beers, and for anyone needing a handy cheap date night option, we give you a roundup of all the local trucks and breweries teaming up for the weekend.

612 Brew is already winding down on the number of kegs it has left of its Bitter Cold Winter IPA. Hopefully, that's a more accurate indicator that spring is on its way than that dumb groundhog. Melch's will serve up its sandwiches, burgers, and soups. Those observing Lent will be happy to dig into their fish sandwich.

The original St. Paul craft brewery teams up with one of the newer trucks. The Louisiana kick from Cajun 2 Geaux will warm up even the most frostbitten fingers.

Fulton continues to draw the hipsters home to roost with a pint of these brews. These beers inspire hardcore devotion, not unlike the devotion Nathan Beck has for sausages. Beck often pairs his dogs with specially made condiments using the beer of the breweries he visits.

Indeed beer is in high demand. The brewery just doubled its production capacity for this year. Meanwhile, Gastrotruck may have a restaurant on the far horizon, but why wait to see what has lines already forming?

This south Minneapolis brewery not only has the delicious beer, but on Friday night it will also have live music to celebrate the quiet Beatle's birthday with music celebrating George Harrison. Paired with the worldly flavors of MidNord's wonderfully savory, tart, hand-held empanadas, it should be a night to remember.

Saturday:

612Brew & Simply Steve's
Fulton Brewery & Chef Driven Co. (Get Sauced!)
Indeed Brewery & MidNord Empanada Truck
Harriet Brewery & Cajun 2 Geaux
