|Tasty brews and spicy food kick off Mardi Gras|
Let the good times roll! Mardi Gras is upon us. It's time to break out the beads and the king cake. While we might not have many things in common with our friends in the state at the other end of the Mississippi, there is one spot where you can get your red beans and rice fix this Tuesday.
Harriet Brewing is throwing a full-on Mardi Gras celebration. There will be lively music courtesy of Brasszilla and Dick and Jane's Big Brass Band beginning at 7p,m.
|Cajun 2 Geaux's Jambalaya|
Food will be available from Chef Tim, a Louisiana native who operates the big, green Cajun 2 Geaux
food truck. His dishes are fantastically spicy, like the jambalaya, or deliciously comforting, like the deceptively simple red beans and rice or the fresh-fried beignets, buried beneath a mountain of powdered sugar.
Beers at the brewery are $4, $5, or $6, and if you haven't yet had the opportunity to taste these killer brews, now is the time. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
