|The Kenwood serves brunch, lunch, and dinner|
What was once a little market has been reborn as a neighborhood dining destination. Chef Don Saunders revamped the space into the Kenwood, a comfortably elegant dining room serving his artistic dishes. They serve brunch, lunch, and dinner daily. One of the first dishes we sampled was his take on the humble pancake.
|Simply exquisite pancakes|
They're small and quite simple but packed with flavor. The batter is cooked until just crispy brown on the outside, tender on the inside. Two cakes are served with a hunk of black-walnut-studded, sweet cream butter that oozes pleasantly as it melts, releasing the toasty nuts.
The real maple syrup tastes like spring and campfire, the amber liquid slowly soaking into the cakes, rendering them just sweet enough to count as a decadent treat.
