Bakker is the son of disgraced televangelist Jim Bakker and Minnesota native Tammy Faye Bakker Messner. His parish at Revolution Church is admittedly liberal, meeting at Bryant-Lake Bowl locally and Pete's Candy Store, a bar in Brooklyn, NYC. The church preaches messages of hope and inclusion.
