|Free burgers this weekend at Linden Hills Co-op, fries not included|
Rock the Garden might be over, but if you still have a hankering for outdoor music, food, and summer celebrating, mark your calendar for Rock the 'Hills
, coming up this weekend.
Sure, it's on a much smaller scale and you may not recognize any of the names on the band lineup (though there is one called AD/HD that we really hope is a dad rock AC/DC cover band), but the promise of free food should be enough to get you out to Linden Hills. Here are more details on the event.
On Saturday, June 22 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. outside the Linden Hills Co-op, Grass Fed Farms will be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs for attendees to enjoy while listening to bands. Other purveyors will be handing out samples of their products too, including cheese curds from Castle Rock Organic, caramel corn from Drew's Homemade Caramel Corn, and bananas from Equal Exchange.
The co-op is a drop site for donations for the Food for Families drive to benefit Second Harvest Heartland, sponsored by 107.1's Weekly Dish radio show, who will be broadcasting live from the event. Bring in non-perishable food items and get some free grilled meats. Everybody wins.
