|St. Paul Summer Beer Fest is this weekend|
Hopefully this week's cover story
got you all inspired to go check out some of our local brewery taprooms, but this weekend's top billing goes to the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest. Craft beer fans will gather tomorrow, June 15 starting at 2:00 p.m. in the International Bazaar at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. More than 100 brewers will be in attendance giving out samples of their beers and food vendors will be scattered throughout the grounds.
But that's just one city and one part of one day of the weekend, and we all know there's more beer to be had. Here's a few more good options for kicking back and drinking local.
Lift Bridge Brewery in Stillwater has a busy Father's Day weekend planned. It kicks off tonight with a Brews Cruise on the St.Croix River where you'll be able to sample the newest beers from the brewery, eat cheese, and enjoy live music. Tickets are $30 and are available from Stillwater River Boats or at Lift Bridge Brewery. Then on Saturday, Lift Bridge will be the official beer vendor at the Rockin' Ribs on the River event in Bayport, Minnesota -- a town that's become synonymous with BBQ. Tickets are just $10 on the day of the event in Lakeside Park.
From 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. tonight, Mr. Mustachio's
will be parked at Harriet Brewing
. Go get a Wodan Weizen and a skewer of grilled shrimp with samba aioli.
On Saturday at Pour Decisions
in Roseville, Cajun 2 Geaux will be hosting a crawfish boil from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Brewers have hinted they may be releasing a special new brew to commemorate the occasion. Old Bay Blonde, perhaps?
If you want lil' preview of that bayou food, C2G will also be at Indeed Brewing's taproom
tonight. Remember, the Shenanigans summer wheat is out now.
