|Get your pork on nest Saturday at the Lowry|
After receiving the sad news that free bacon Wednesdays
are over at the Triple Rock, there's another bright, bacon-related event on the horizon that is sure to lift your spirits.
The Lowry's annual Bacon Fest is coming up on Saturday, July 27, and tickets are on sale now at any one of the Blue Plate family of restaurants (The Lowry, Longfellow Grill, Edina Grill, Highland Grill, Groveland Tap, Three Squares, and Scusi). Want to know what you get for your $40?
Starting at 10:00 a.m., there will be live music, games (pin the bacon on Kevin Bacon anyone?), and lots of porky prizes. Hormel and some other bacon purveyors will be in attendance to fry up bacon for the taking, and the Lowry's kitchen team is creating a number of bacon-involved dishes for you to try. Ticket-holders get a two free drink tickets (use one on a bacon bloody Mary), 10 bacon dishes to sample (one is bacon-wrapped pork belly tater tots with Bacon-aise sauce), and a free swag bag.
Summit Brewing is the official beer sponsor of this year's bacon fest so there should be several varieties on special at both the indoor and outdoor fest areas. If you can't make it to one of the restaurants to buy tickets (which are only available for advance purchase) you can also order them by calling 612-341-2112.
