Minnetonka's Lucid Brewing has announced that Surfside lager will be seeing six-pack release and distribution this month, focusing on the area surrounding their western home suburb. The German-styled lager is named after Surfside Park in Mound, Minnesota, and its release falls in line with Spirit of the Lakes Festival at the park.

The brewery worked in conjunction with the Spirit of the Lakes Festival organizers and with artist Bruce Miller to design the bottle's label. The Festival itself runs from July 18-20, and will feature family-friendly activities such as a parade, fireworks, and boat rides.

Lucid Brewing was founded in 2011 and was named "Best New Brewery" by the Star Tribune in May. "As the only micro-brewery in Minnetonka, its [sic] fun for us to participate in community based events in our backyard. As a resident, my family has enjoyed the Spirit of the Lakes festival. Now as a local business owner, Lucid can add to the event," Biermann offered through a company-issued statement.

Their beers can be found in the Twin Cities metro, Rochester, Mankato, Brainerd, Alexandria, Duluth, and the Fargo/Moorhead areas.
