Fans of the gooey, chewy and pungent stuff have an exclusive opportunity to feast upon a preview of this year's upcoming Cheesefest. On August 8, the newly formed Minnesota Cheese Guild along with Heidi's restaurant will host a dinner they're calling, "A Cheese Lover's Dream."
Attendees are invited to meet with Minnesota Cheese Guild members and cheesemakers from Caves of Faribault, Alemar Cheese, Shepherd's Way Farms, Stickney Hill Dairy and Redhead Creamery.
Chef Stewart Woodman's four course menu is:
Cheese Foam "To Go" with Good Thunder
Tomato 5 Ways with Shepherd's Way Morcella
Chicken Pressed with St. Peter's Select Blue Cheese
Stickney Hill Chèvre Cheesecake, Yuzu and Prickly Pear
Tickets are limited and nearly sold-out, but organizers are releasing a few more just for City Pages readers. Dinner will be served from 7-9 p.m. Tickets are $50, which includes wine pairings and are available here
