A publicist from the fast-food chain says that the first two of the four new Twin Cities locations will be in Coon Rapids and Maple Grove and are projected to open October 10. Stores in Apple Valley and Bloomington are projected for late October and November, respectively.

What sparked the confusion was the announcement that Chick-fil-A would be hosting some local community events to help promote the opening of the new stores. The first presentation is tonight in Apple Valley at Johnny Cake Ridge Park.

These four stores are the first of ten that the chain is planning to eventually open in our local market over the span of the next three to five years.
