Richfield residents (Richfieldians?), rejoice. You're getting a new restaurant with a promising young chef-owner in just a few months' time. Lyn 65 Kitchen & Bar, a new upscale American concept from Restaurant Alma
alum Ben Rients, is moving into the strip mall on 65th Street and Lyndale Avenue South, reports
the Star Tribune.
Rients tells the Strib that Lyn 65 will keep price points low, with every dish ringing in at under $15. Expect bar food and comfort favorites like steamed mussels, sharing plates portioned for two like steak and fried chicken, sourdough flatbread pizzas, and soft-serve ice cream.
The space has room for about 70 seats and will include a full bar that serves beer, wine, and classic cocktails. Rients plans to stay open late -- until 1 a.m. on the weekends -- and do a late-afternoon happy hour.
The project has been in the works for a long time, but Rients is aiming for Lyn 65 to open sometime in November, provided everything goes according to plan.
