|It's a Prohibition era-inspired bar, but they'll still serve drinks|
It's been over a year since we first reported on the opening of The Tangiers
, a new eatery and lounge set for the revived North Loop neighborhood. Though his original plan was to open last fall, owner Behnad Taheri had to shift the schedule a few times, and has finally announced a grand opening date for this Prohibition era-inspired spot.
Doors will be open at lavish venue (116 1st Ave. N.) on August 23 at 8:00 p.m. and the official grand opening festivities will rage on all weekend with specialty cocktails and local craft beer.
Full menus have not been posted yet, but the 152-seat restaurant will be small plates-focused restaurant with flatbreads, fondue, charcuterie, and house made desserts.
