Trouble at True Thai

A couple weeks ago, Hot Dish delved into True Thai's troubles and talked with owner Anna Fieser about the contentious legal dispute with the restaurant's former manager Corey Whitechurch.

This spring, Fieser was alerted by her accountant about unpaid bills to beer and wine distributors, True Thai's landlord, and even the state of Minnesota. Since then, the restaurant has faced serious hurdles, from beer and wine distributors refusing to deliver products, to Whitechurch's accusations of violence behind the scenes.

This afternoon, we received an anonymous tip from a former employee of True Thai stating that the restaurant has decided to close:

Was told at 11:00 last night that True Thai was closing, supplies were being moved out of the premises.

Last night, this tweet surfaced regarding True Thai's current standing.

Calls to True Thai have not been answered. We will update with more information as it becomes available.
