Eat Street Social named one of Food & Wine Magazine's Best Cocktail Bars in America



Another Minneapolis bar has gone and reeled itself in some national recognition. Food & Wine Magazine recently named Eat Street Social one of the best cocktail bars in the United States. 

Eat Street Social, located just off the infamous stretch of Nicollet Avenue known as Eat Street, has been delighting diners with cocktail masterpieces since it first opened in 2012. In the same year, the bar earned the City Pages title for Best Bartender, and in 2013 was also recognized for the Best Cocktail Program by the Star Tribune

The Food & Wine piece doesn't make mention of Eat Street Social's fairly new Torpedo Room tiki bar, but they do call attention to the bar's much loved cocktail, Of the Older Fashioned, which features Old Weller Antique bourbon, muscovado syrup, and three different Bittercube bitters -- cherry bark vanilla, orange, and bolivar. Bittercube is a company that specializes in the creation of craft bitters and just so happens to be the brainchild of Eat Street Social's head bartenders Nicholas Kosevich and Ira Koplowitz. 

 Eat Street Social also has a rotating list of seasonal cocktails which includes drinks like Witch Hazel, Fall of Temperance, and the Eat Street Apology which contains El Dorado Rum, lime, sarsaparilla syrup, sparkling rose, and black strap bitters.

On Food & Wine's list of Best Cocktail Bars, Eat Street Social joins bars like New York City's Clover Club, Chicago's the Barrelhouse Flat, and Pour Vous in Los Angeles.
