Suck it, cherubs
Every day that passes in January brings us one day closer to the night the lonely dread. Even as couples roll their eyes and say, "It's not that big a deal," the 14th of February can be a bitch to power through if you're nursing a broken heart.

Rather than cram your face full of ice cream or drink yourself into oblivion, join a more boisterous party over at Fika where they promise, "We think you're awesome and perfect. Screw Cupid."

The menu promises such dishes as smoked tuna, langoustine with lardo, lamb shank terrine with beef heart (a nice touch), and a goat milk curd with blood orange and hazelnuts. Each course will be paired with a beer from Indeed Brewing, including the dessert course, which will feature a lingonberry-infused Stir Crazy made especially for the evening. View the full menu here.

Even better, they will have a community burn bin in which to chuck those so-called keepsakes from exes.

The event is Thursday, February 13, beginning at 7 p.m. Seats are limited to just 40 attendees. Tickets are $85 each and can be purchased by calling the American Swedish Institute at 612-871-4907.
