Napa Valley Grille at MOA has served its last dish
Shoppers are able to count on just a select few dining options for a good, non-fast food meal at the Mall of America. Sadly, one of the best options, Napa Valley Grille, has closed its doors.

Although the public's obsession with all things Napa Valley may have waned in the last decade, the restaurant itself seemed to have morphed into a classic. One of the few places inside the Bloomington behemoth that could draw big-name chefs to man the kitchen, Napa Valley Grille was open as recently as New Year's Eve, but this morning, a reader tipped us off that this sign was posted on the door.

A good reason to visit Napa?
The restaurant's website shares the same news. The Napa Valley location remains open. Perhaps the universe is urging us out of this frigid climate and into wine country?

With Masu and Fire Lake there's more good options than ever over at MOA. It's not just Rainforest, Bubba Gump, Tiger Sushi and Crave.

@JoyEstelle Lots of good memories there from team dinners in my pre-MSP business travel days. Always had good experiences.

They didn't hire me when I tried to get a serving job there... karma's a bitch. Fuck 'em.

That sucks. It was one of the only good restaurants in the place.

Not a surprise there, was never busy. That corner of the mall doesn't get enough traffic, there's a spot just down the hall from there that's sat empty for at least 15 years now, the old location of The Amazing Space.

Masu is not that great. I find it hard to find anything good at the mall. Twin City Grill is decent.

You're absolutely right. Any restaurant that doesn't hire every single applicant deserves to shut down.

Seriously though, either you don't know how hiring works or you don't know how karma works.
