|The Kenwood's quaintly romantic interior|
According to the magazine, "Royal couple (and Balmoral regulars) Will and Kate would feel right at home at the Kenwood. First there's the décor, a Great Lakes take on the traditional English hunting lodge complete with plaid-lined walls, tufted-leather banquettes, and thick-framed portraits of horses and hounds -- all faintly lit for romance."
They also call out some menu highlights, which include wild boar pappardelle and brown butter-slathered trout. They pay particular attention to Chef Don Saunders's cassoulet, which they describe as, "an indulgent cassoulet [featuring] silky pork belly, duck confit, and bacon-infused Toulouse sausage."
While the Kenwood doesn't typically take reservations, they have confirmed that they are full up for the big day. However they are taking reservations for the following evening, offering the same special Valentine's Day tasting menu, which is as you might expect: swoon-worthy. The four courses include smoked stealhead trout, butter poached lobster, beef tenderloin, and a passion fruit baked meringue.
