Another weekend, another new taproom. This time Boom Island is opening their new digs -- on Valentine's Day, no less. They're marking the date with a special Hoodoo Dubbel with raspberries and chocolate. The taproom is going to be open Wednesday through Saturday each week and will also offer growler sales.

First thing Saturday morning, starting at 8 a.m., Bryant Lake Bowl will be offering the new Burr Grinder coffee ale from Indeed. The new beer comes from a collaboration with Dogwood Coffee and has coffee added both in the brew kettle and later with a concentrated cold press. It will be available at the Indeed taproom starting on February 20.

Also on Saturday, Get Knit Events is hosting a Winter Winery Tour of the St. Croix River area's wineries, namely St. Croix Vineyards, Dancing Dragonfly Winery, and Chateau St. Croix Winery and Vineyard. The tour will repeat on March 1 and March 15.

Saturday night, Harriet Brewing hosts the Big Foot Winter Stomp, featuring four bands headlined by Duluth's Brothers Burn Mountain.

As for new beers, Fulton has released War & Peace, their fourth Garage Series beer, a coffee aged version of their Worthy Adversary imperial stout. Summit has also introduced Frost Line Rye, based on their Unchained #2 rye pale ale.

In food truck news this weekend, Simply Steve's (Friday) and Sandy's Grill (Saturday) will be at Fulton. 612 hosts Motley Crews (Friday) and Simply Steve's (Saturday) and Indeed will feature Cajun 2 Geaux (Friday) and Heavy Metal Grill (Saturday)
