Hold onto your pint glasses: This weekend brings quite a few beer-related events.

On Friday, Schell's continues the anniversary celebration of their pilsners with another tap takeover, this one at the Acadia Café from 5 to 8 p.m. The four varieties they'll be pouring are Schell's original 1984 Recipe Pils, Roogen Pils, 2014 Recipe Pils, and Bavarian Mandarina Pils.

Firkin Fest is the beer highlight on Saturday, as over 50 breweries bring more than 90 casks to The Happy Gnome, starting at noon. Check out a full listing on their website, but brewers include Lift Bridge, Surly, Excelsior, Summit, Bad Weather, Boom Island, Founders, Lagunitas, New Belgium, and many more. The casked beers are all made from traditional ingredients without filtration, pasteurization, or added carbonation.

In new Minnesota beers this week, Bad Weather will release Migration, a new Kolsch-style brewed with rose-hips, as well as Storm Cellar Series #2: Due Date, a spiced imperial brown ale. Summit recently released their fifteenth Unchained series beer, Fest Bier, a golden, Octoberfest-inspired brew.

In beer-themed charity drives, craft beer store Four Firkins is hosting a non-perishable food drive throughout the month of March.

For those hitting the taprooms this weekend, Surly has added another tour slot, offering tours at 1, 3, and 6 p.m. this week. Food trucks on hand will be Sandy's Grill (Friday) and The Red Pig and Truffle (Saturday).

Fulton hosts LuLu's Street Kitchen (Friday) and Get Sauced (Saturday) and Indeed will have food for sale from Gastrotruck (Friday) and Little G's Pizzeria (Saturday).
