Still some tickets left for Stewart Woodman's pop-up at the Workshop
The third incarnation of Union is on its way, this time under the leadership of James Beard Award nominee Stewart Woodman, and soon they'll be giving a sneak peek of what's afoot. The new restaurant, now known as the Workshop, will host a special, three-day-only preview event today, tomorrow, and Saturday -- and there are still a few tickets left.

Now Open: Union Fish Market
The event is set up through Living Social where you can prepay your entrance fee of $100 for the five-course dinner which includes up to four beverages per couple.

The Workshop's website offers a glimpse at a sample menu for the event, and we wonder if this is indicative of what will go on the actual menu when the restaurant opens this fall. The menu lays out a variety of delicious-sounding goodies: an amuse bouche course with items like a shrimp spring roll and fried oysters in a dashi sauce; an array of mini-appetizers such as a scallop and squid ink corn pudding and a "burger" and fries; and other tantalizing dishes like a seared foie torchon with pickled black cherry, garlic, and quick pickled radish, a lamb chop with cilantro pesto, and a miso marinated sea bass in a pho broth.
If you're interested in what chef Woodman will bring to the table at the new Workshop, this is your best bet. While the Living Social event site doesn't mention how many total seatings are available, at the time of this post, there were still tickets available.
