When the Brooklyn Brewery Mash hits town this weekend, Brooklyn and Twin Cities cultures will come together in a series of collaborative drinking and dining events. Brooklyn Brewery, often considered among the country's first craft breweries, is hitting the metro area for the second consecutive year with its touring "food, film, comedy, music, books, and beer" themed festival that takes place across town from August 9-16. With exclusive dinners, beer education events, tap takeovers, and a free concert, there's quite a lot on tap.

Highlights include the Dinner on the Farm, taking place at Luster Lands Organic Farm on Sunday, and Craft Beer Revolution at Fulton Brewing Company, where Brooklyn's co-founder Steve Hindy, along with staff from Fulton, August Schell, and Urban Growler, will discuss the changing industry. (Hindy recently published a book titled Craft Beer Revolution.)

Coming from an overseas stop in London, the tour is meant to celebrate the surging craft beer culture, and highlight each unique location while noting the unifying similarities of the movement. "Collaboration is at the heart of the Mash," says Brooklyn Brewery's Meg Stemmler.
