Jimmy John's $1 sandwiches may help its union p.r. problems.

​Thursday is Customer Appreciation Day at Twin Cities Jimmy John's, which means that sandwiches listed on the menu #1-6 (all subs: Pepe, Big John, Totally Tuna, Turkey Tom, Vito, and Vegetarian) will be sold for $1 between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at participating locations.

The lines are sure to be long, so we'd suggest getting their early. If you want the cheap eats, you're going to have to brave the crowds yourself--the offer allows for only one $1 sandwich per customer.

Happy Birthday to me!

​It's like a pasta happy hour.  In celebration of Larry D'Amico's birthday select stores are offering half off their signature pastas served with a side of birthday cake tomorrow, Friday July 29th beginning at 4pm.

​Now that football season is officially back on, Buffalo Wild Wings is giving away free wings to celebrate.

Back in March, the Minnesota company promised six free wings to anyone who signed its Facebook petition to end the NFL lockout. The promise came with a caveat: the free wings would only be delivered if the lockout ended by July 20.

But in the best way possible, Buffalo Wild Wings is going back on its word. Although the NFL reached a deal five days late, the wing-maker is still honoring its free-wings offer.

If the NFL lockout ends by July 20, you can get free wings

​Buffalo Wild Wings has stepped things up a notch in its attempt to get this year's football season back on track: The Minnesota-grown company is offering six free wings to anyone who likes its petition to stop the NFL lockout on Facebook.

The deal has got a catch: Free wings only happen if the lockout comes to an end by July 20. And fortunately, a lot of sportswriters think that's pretty likely.

You can now get a slice at Pizza Nea.

​After nearly eight years in business on E. Hennepin, Pizza Nea has finally given into customer (and potential customer) pressure. Owner Mike Sherwood has decided to offer pizza by the slice, from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, starting today. To kick off the new serving size, Nea will give away one free slice with each slice purchased, today only.
