Tulip Sweet are no more

First the Clown Lounge, now this

Tulip Sweet and Her Trail of Tears have broken up, according to keyboardist Tom Siler. Here's his email in response to news that the band's beloved Clown Lounge had closed:

Woah! that's crazy!

I guess it may as well be time to announce that the Tulip Sweet act has also called it a day after 7 or 8 years (first shows? CLOWN LOUNGE!). Definitely end of that era + scene.

Randall Throckmorton, Andy and I plan to record a second Larmes De Colere CD and probably carry the torch over to Jason McLean's Varsity Theater shows in Dinkytown this coming summer.
